Good evening!

Local people are in great turmoil  in the Bryn Derw area where a toddler is missing. Little Connor was last seen on Saturday evening at super time. His family report that he had enjoyed writing a letter to a little girl he knows of, eaten a very large super and then gone off to play.

At 9 p.m. that night, when his older brothers went to bed in the room they share with Connor, they saw what they thought was the sleeping toddler snuggled under his blankets. Imagine the horror of the family when the next morning it was discovered that there was just a pile of pillows under the blankets and little Connor was gone.

Here we have a photograph of the child as he looked a few hours before his disappearance.

There have been reports of what may be the missing toddler appearing at the windows of a house in Hertfordshire but this has not yet been officially confirmed. Police are investigating the matter and there is the possibility of an arrest being made in the near future.

Currently, one suspect, known only as Mrs. Mum, is under surveillance whilst her possible accomplice, known by the aliases of The Ice Queen and The Ice Cream, appears to be on the run.

Some of the friends and siblings of the tot have gathered together for mutual support. Young Fred, adopted into little Connor's family only days ago, is so upset by the disappearance - and possibly by the lack of other outfits for him to wear - that he has vowed to keep his Banana Pyjamas on until his new little brother is returned home.

Anybody who has any information to offer about this matter should contact the nearest police station or branch of Social Services.

  1. Oh my goodness!!!! This is terrible news indeed. I'm shocked to the very core! I was asked by Police for my opinion of Mrs Mum and I said "oh dear, she always seemed so nice!" Who'd have thought it?
Well if this little toddler takes a wrong turn and actually ends up here in Spain, I will be sure to send him right on home again....well, just after I've made some outfits for him to test my 'toddler' patterns and taken some photos!!!
PS the brunette girl on the very left of the photo is looking rather suspicious! Why won't she let her face be seen by the camera????? We should be told, I say!

    1. Quite frankly, Sharon, I think you are more likely to find the Ice Cream lurking with tot in tow.... she's been absent for some months now..... Of course, she might have mistaken our Connor for her little Lucas and have picked him up in all innocence. This is what happens when scientists interfere with biology - cloned toddlers was NEVER a good idea!
Thank you for your suggestion about Wren's guilty look. She SEEMS a gentle soul, but you never can tell....

  2. On behalf of Mrs Mum I must protest!! If young Connor did arrive in the Village and take shelter with Mrs Mum and the Sasha Clan and their bears it can only be because something must be SERIOUSLY WRONG at his HOME!!
We are wondering when they will take Mrs Jen in for questioning about why her young lad , who can barely string a sentence together, is out in the cold and dark when he could be safely tucked up in bed!!
We all KNOW that 9 times out of 10 it's someone in the immediate family ! What about those posh school boys ? maybe they did not like having a young brother who appears to be on the simple side!!!
We think they should be looking closer to home for the culprit!!!!!!

    1. Me thinks, and the police doth think, that thou doest protest too much! Added to that, we at Bryn Derw ARE PERFECTLY AWARE OF THE TRUE IDENTITY OF MRS.MUM!
So why is my house swarming with police? ( In a house this size, two police men constitute a swarm) Why are their men digging up my rosebeds?

  3. The Police have already been round here asking for references as to Mrs Mum's character, aware that I know her, as we have met at the UK Festival and several Sasha events {one of which she herself is a marvellous hostess to} and that she has twice visited The Sasha Brood and I up here and keeps in contact by email or phone.

I have assured them that, as far as I know, she is a good Sasha Doll and Bramber Bear mum (wonderfully supported by Mr Dad!) and runs a well attended and 'looked forward to' blogspot.

Thoughts and prayers are being said in the hope that all will be quickly sorted and that Conner will be found safe and well and returned to his home and worried mum and family.

  4. Of course, I don't like to make accusations (ha ha) but I've now seen visual evidence on-line that a toddler claiming to be Connor is at Mrs. Mum's house. I'm absolutely certain that the pillar of Sasha society, the renowned Sasha Boutique shop fitter, Mr. Dad, is totally innocent and hope that Mrs. Mum also turns out to be without stain. But you never know and, unless a little corpse or a live boy turns up, well, it does seem quite a coincidence that a child claiming to be Connor is at her house, isn't it?

  5. So that's why the police turned up - I did wonder. Lora and Lonely are inconsolable.
Almost certainly it's someone in your own house who just couldn't stand the competition.
Have you checked inside the dolls house? I'll bet one of your 'innocent' kids has stuffed him in and closed the front!

  6. On reflection, given all the recent talk there's been about Social Services, do they not investigate people who 'loose' kids?.....hold on a min I'll just ask that big policeman....

  7. I know, Rosalind. I SO regret letting a three year old wander off to play in his room, put himself to bed and not checking on him until his big brothers realized he'd missed breakfast and failed to turn up to eat a junk food snack whilst watching cartoons at about 11a.m. Is not checking on toddlers for 16 hours thought to be neglectful, then?............................?
And there's me, a child protection officer for the borough in a previous life, LOL!
